We had a great weekend! It was so good that even Emily laughed for the first time this past Sunday (8/8) :)
It was so sweet! Her brother was playing Peek A Boo with her and she thought that was so funny! Wow, so my baby girl is coming into her own...I love it but I'm so not ready for her to grow up...I look at our older daughter Casey and our older son Harrison and I just want to keep her a baby forever! They grow up too fast...I'd like to keep Caden, Conner, and Sky where they are too...they're so much fun and still innocent! Oh well, it's life...and I love it but it's so challenging and bittersweet!

My poor Punky caught a cold this weekend...she's got a runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, mattered and watery eyes...on top of that she's also teething. :( Needless to say, it's not been a fun weekend for us. I'm hoping she gets better before she gets any worse. Keep her in your prayers that she gets better soon. Thanks everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend! :) Getting ready to start a new week tomorrow and kids are back in school! Can't wait to see how there first day goes!

"I'm a bad mom"
So...some of my thoughts are from what other Moms think is wrong in being a parent of a newborn and others are things I know I shouldn't do but I do them anyway because I LOVE MY BABIES!!! I'm a "bad" mom because:
~I nurse her only at night and she is supplemented with formula on and off during the day.
~I bring her into bed with me after the 2nd time she wakes up at night.
~She doesn't sleep through the night anymore and that's okay with me.
~I won't let her cry it out (at least for now!) because I believe in nurturing her and responding to her needs.
~I started her on solids but she doesn't seem to like them so I don't push it.
~If I'm at home with her, I hold her all the time.
~I pick her up the second she cries.
~She's in daycare so I can work, can't afford to stay home.
~I let her "use me" as a pacifier at times during the night.
~She still sleeps in her sleep positioner because I fear she will roll over on her tummy at night and even with this...I still wake up to see if she's breathing.
~Her only scheduled part of the day is bedtime. So she doesn't have scheduled naps and I feed her when she's hungry when we're together.
~I have trust issues about who watches her.
~I let my dogs "kiss" her in the face.
~I don't ever really do much for myself (shopping, pedicures, time alone with friends) because I want to be with her all the time.
~I let my boys play video games without being timed.
~I let my boys who are 12 and 8 go bike riding by themselves.
~I let my boys (during the summer) play their Ipod and ps2 in bed and at times they're up at midnight still playing.
~I allowed my 12 year old to have a cell phone and to text. However, he does have a cell curfew of 9:30 pm.
~I let my 12 year old have a Facebook (but with my supervision)
I think that's it for now but I'm sure I could find other reasons why I'm such a "bad" mom. (Just a note- this isn't against anyone or anything that was said to me. Mainly it's geared towards things like what others think what's right and what's wrong and what the general public says.) Yes, I know I need to give myself a break but I'm a Mom and my baby/children always come first.
If anyone wants to comment or tell their "bad mom notes" feel free, lol!!!

I will have a four month old as of tomorrow!
Well...just 4 months ago today I was anticipating the birth of our daughter. I had mixed emotions. I was so excited but I was so scared...I barely slept that night. I knew that my life the next day would consist of being the Mommy of now 2 boys and a little girl!!! I had everything ready and the car packed to head out the next morning at 5:00 am. By 7:30 that morning that we got to the hospital, I was ready to be wheeled into the OR. I was so scared as I had never had a planned c-section before and had always been knocked out during surgery so I didn't know what it was like to be awake during. I layed there in fear of what might happen that could go wrong. Then a few minutes later, I heard the best sound in the world...her cry. I heard the doctors/nurses saying, "you did good", "she's a pretty little girl"...at that moment, all my fears were gone, it was nothing but the best feeling in the world. Now today, she's a healthy, happy baby, who is smiling and cooing and now starting to laugh...God has certainly blessed me in so many ways possible and I thank him.

Well, I was much better today but Emily's been very fussy! I think it's her gums bothering her. :(
She's not wanted to sleep or be put down. So...we went shopping a little, I knew the car ride would help her a bit, and it did...well, lol, I was about to take a pic of her still asleep in her carseat but she's awake so, gotta run! Have a great Monday everyone!
